“It does not matter whether medicine be old or new, so long as it brings about a cure.” Jen Hsou Lin, DVM, Ph.D.

Dog Chiropractic Treatments

The science of animal chiropractic is based upon using spinal manipulation to help restore a full and pain-free motion to joints. It includes procedures where hands are used to mobilize, adjust, stimulate, or otherwise influence the spinal and paraspinal tissues with the aim of restoring or maintaining the patient’s health. I want it understood that I am not “moving bones back in place” with an adjustment.

Dog Acupuncture

In the simplest sense, acupuncture is the application of small-gauge needles to specific points on the body to elicit physiological responses resulting in therapeutic homeostatic effects. In a broader sense, acupuncture is an ancient procedure used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to treat whole-body conditions. The whole body is so important! Sometimes, clinical signs of a patient are the only thing that gets attention. My regular question is, “What is causing those clinical signs?” Let’s try to get to the root of the problem and not get lost in the clinical signs.

Equine & Canine Wellness is located in Bedford, NH, behind TD Bank off of Route 101.

The office is a comfortable, informal space to work on with your dog. Usually the dogs don’t have the sense that they are in a veterinary clinic so are more relaxed and open to treatment. Appointments generally run 1 – 1.5 hours and go at a pace to make your canine companion the most comfortable.

Horses are seen in their barn for maximum comfort.
